BIOGRAFIA
Elena Miranda Gates nacio en Lima, Peru pero ha vivido la mayoria de sus anos en los Estados Unidos. Posee un grado de Periodismo de la Universidad de Lima “Jaime Bausate y Mesa” y es miembro del Colegio de Periodistas de Peru. Posee un Master en Lengua y Cultura Espanola de la Universidad de Salamanca, Espana asi como estudios de Educacion en diversas universidades de los Estados Unidos.
Elena ha trabajado en la Armada Peruana de Peru como periodista asi como Profesor Adyacente de Espanol en la Universidad de Lake-Sumter en Florida. Asimismo, ha trabajado en diversas areas en la Educacion en los estados de Carolina del Norte y Florida, Ha publicado las tesis: “La mujer en la comunicacion: revistas femeninas”, y “El aprendizaje a traves del periodismo escolar”. Tambien los libros: “Incas: the silence of the Sun”, “Wamampuma y Sumailla”, poemas en “Duende Creativo” y “La llama Violeta” y otros cuentos.
Actualmente vive en Florida con su esposo Daniel y sus mascotas.
BIOGRAPHY
Elena Miranda Gates was born in Lima, Peru but has lived most of her years in the United States. She has a degree in Journalism from the University of Lima “Jaime Bausate y Mesa” and is a member of the College of Journalists of Peru. She has a Master’s Degree in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca, Spain as well as education studies at various universities in the United States.
Elena worked in the Peruvian Army as a journalist as well as an Adjacent Professor of Spanish at the University of Lake-Sumter in Florida. Likewise, she has worked in various areas in education in the states of North Carolina and Florida. She has published the theses: “Women in communication: Women’s Magazines”, and “Learning through school journalism”. Also, the books: “Incas: the silence of the Sun”, “Wamampuma and Sumailla”, poems in “Duende Creativo” and “La llama Violeta” and other stories.
She currently lives in Florida with her husband Daniel and their pets.
